The Golden Mile London – a 4km stretch along the M4/A4 between Heathrow Airport and central London – represents a major growth opportunity for the Capital. Supported by strong public and private sector partnerships, the area is already seeing significant development.

Hounslow Council’s Investment Framework highlights its strong economic base, proximity to the Heathrow economic zone and access to quality open space, positioning the Golden Mile as a sustainable mixed-use neighbourhood and Creative-Tech Innovation District.

Key Facts

• The Golden Mile will deliver up to 14,000 new homes and 25,000 new jobs by 2041.
• The area is home to major institutions including Brentford Football Club, Sky and the University of West London, and is located close to renowned green and open spaces such as Gunnersbury Park, the River Thames and the emerging West London Regional Park.
• The proposed West London Orbital, a Mayoral backed London Overground extension, would connect Golden Mile directly to HS2.
