West London is ‘the world’s most connected place’. We are a £70bn economy - bigger than Birmingham and Manchester put together – and one of the best places in the country to invest, locate or grow a business.

Alongside major growth and regeneration areas, West London is home to varied, vibrant town centres, leading cultural, sporting and retail venues and 35,000 hectares of green space.

Our connectivity is unrivalled, with Heathrow, the Elizabeth Line and soon HS2 at Old Oak Common. Meanwhile, our diverse population and world-class universities help fuel West London’s appetite for innovation and growth, including our leading clusters and networks of firms in sectors such as film and screen and life sciences.

West London’s public and private sector institutions have worked together for years to support investors and entrepreneurs and make West London a better place. Our vision includes delivering improved orbital transport for workers, residents and visitors; modernising energy networks to enable sustainable development; and ensuring that our workforce has the skills for the future.

West London Alliance: a partnership between the boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow.

West London Business: the business leadership forum for the world’s most connected place

Local London is a sub-regional partnership comprising nine London boroughs in the east of London, north and south of the Thames. Our dynamic boroughs are Barking and Dagenham, Bexley, Bromley, Enfield, Greenwich, Havering, Newham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.

The fastest growing part of the capital, we are home to around 2.6 million residents and 100,000 businesses, making our population larger than the cities of Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool combined.

We are in a prime location to support and benefit from two of the UK’s biggest growth corridors which intersect our sub-region: the UK Innovation Corridor and the Thames Estuary region.

The South London Partnership (SLP) boroughs of Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Richmond upon Thames and Sutton form a quadrant of outer London, stretching from the M3/Heathrow corridor in the west round to the Victoria/Gatwick corridor in the south.

With a population of over 1.2 million people, the area nurtures a vibrant economy worth more than £30 billion, supporting over 550,000 jobs and home to a growing business base of over 55,000 companies. Our asset base is extensive and diverse, including global reach institutions at the cutting edge of research and innovation, such as the London Cancer Hub, Kew Royal Botanic Gardens, and the National Physical Laboratory, alongside our unique sporting, heritage and cultural destinations including the home of rugby, Twickenham Stadium, the oldest and most famous tennis tournament in the world, the All England Club Championships at Wimbledon, and the historic Hampton Court Palace. The boroughs of south west London are also home to some of the most beautiful and historic green spaces, parks and gardens in the UK.

By working together, and with partners within and beyond our area, the SLP Boroughs champion and seek to build on the many strengths of South London as a place for people to live, study, work, invest, and thrive through collaboration and co-ordination. Our current priorities include securing transformative improvements in health and care; creating more opportunities for our people to access high quality jobs; delivering UK-leading infrastructure in terms of housing and digital and transport connectivity; and, driving ever greater investment into our research and teaching institutions, making South West London the ‘go to’ place for inclusive and sustainable innovation.
